The client
The Provincial Petanque Championship, arises with the help of the Provincial Council of Malaga as an international event municipal in which the adhered municipalities propose a series of players who will participate in the Cup.
This is a restricted participation event and composed of three regional scoring tournaments, organized simultaneously in different areas areas of the province of Malaga and a final tournament where the three best classified triplets of each group will enter.
The project
Among the objectives of the project are:
- Promote the sport of petanque. of the municipalities of the province.
- Respond to the demand in this modality of the municipalities of the province.
- Complement and reinforce the petanque activities offered by the municipalities.
- Promote contact networks among petanque fans in the province.
In it, 3 days of preliminary phase are held, with 4 differentiated groups of municipalities with the same geographical area, and a final phase where the best of each group will go. Divided into 4 categories, +45, +60, +70 and General (any player under 45 or federated). There is no team limitation.
In the organization of tournaments, there are always gifts that are given to players and a very complete provisioning for each team. Chairs, tables and tents are prepared for the comfort of the players and a speaker is provided to entertain and announce the start and end of the games.
The results
The client of the event was highly satisfied since it was possible to mix the competitive mode with the recreational mode during the tournaments, creating a day between people from other municipalities in the province with the same interests in petanque.
Something to highlight was prioritizing participation over competition, whether they won or lost the triplets, they always played the same games. He also highlighted the presence of referees of the Malaga Federation Petanque.
A median attended the conference with 100 participants by groups, that is, a total of 400 participants, in addition to the public and companions.
